I’ve had such an incredible, wonderful, amazing summer / Maternity Leave with my precious babies. But now it’s time to get back to reality and return to work. This past Monday was my first day. The days have been going by fairly quickly which is awesome, but somehow, the days are still very long. I guess that’s because my evenings with my hubby / kids are so short. I love the night time feedings with Tootsie Roll because even though they make me more tired, it’s GREAT cuddle time. <3 The biggest blessing of my job is that I get to nurse TR when I need to. A teacher from the baby room just comes into my 2s room so I can go feed my little one. It breaks up my day and MORE CUDDLES! I love it love it love it! I wish I could see Cupcakes more often but I do get to watch her play outside a little bit. 
My kids are doing pretty well coming (back) to daycare. I know Cupcakes is having a lot of fun based on the cool stories she tells me. I’m happy with her being in daycare because she can hang out with other kids, make friends, and (hopefully) break out of her shy shell in time for actual school. She’s old enough to know I’m just in the other room and will come get her at the end of the day, every day. So we’re all good with her.
Tootsie Roll, on the other hand, is too little to understand, too little to be separated from Mommy. 
He doesn’t know where I am, doesn’t know when I’ll be back, can’t play with other kids yet, and doesn’t know (yet) who his teachers are. I know that with time, and routine, he will know that I’m always going to come back, but I am still not completely comfortable.
Paychecks will be good for my kids though. You know, for food and clothing and shelter and all of that.
SPEAKING OF SHELTER!
We are buying a HOUSE and finally quitting the apartment life! I thought since Closing was supposed to be the week I came back to work, it would give me something to look forward to while dealing with the stress of returning to work, but I was way off. Closing not his house is SO STRESSFUL it’s actually trumping the stress of working. :-/ I can’t WAIT until this miserable process is over. I don’t even want to get into the big mess, so all I’m going to say is that the new closing day is next Wednesday.
